December 10: James Morrison has one remaining episode to shoot during the month of December. FREEDOM has not been renewed, but will finish shooting the 12 episode order. It now appears that Morrison will actually appear in 5 of the 7 episodes for which he was originally contracted.
November 24: UPDATE on THE RAINMAKER. James Morrison has accepted the role of Bill Starbuck in the L.A. Theatre Works radio production of THE RAINMAKER by Richard Nash. Jayne Atkinson, Jerry Hardin, David Aaron Baker, and John Bedford Lloyd from the recent Broadway revival are also committed. Jenny Sullivan will direct.
There will be five performances at the Skirball Cultural Center. Performances take place Wednesday, November 29 at 8:00 p.m.; Friday, December 1 at 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday, December3 at 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Each performance will be recorded before a live audience for future broadcast on KCRW 89.9FM.

November 18: FREEDOM is currently filming episode 9 in the shooting order. This order is not necessarily the same as the order in which the shows are aired. James Morrison has just completed filming episodes 7 and 8. He does not appear in episodes 9 and 10, but will appear in either (or possibly both) 11 and/or 12.
James Morrison has accepted a role in another NPR radio drama. This production is RAINMAKER. He will be recording the program around the end of November through early December, during a break in his shooting schedule for the TV series, FREEDOM
FREEDOM October 27th, on UPN at 8:00 PM. James Morrison plays the part of Colonel Tim Devon. The first episode is titled ALPHA DOGS. After a Joint Chiefs of Staff take over the U.S., former special-forces members, who have been jailed for treason, meet and join the resistance, beginning their effort to restore democracy to the U.S.
September: James Morrison has completed filming his first two episodes for the new TV series FREEDOM. Morrison has a week off and will then return to Vancouver to continue shooting.
Mid-August: The first episode of FREEDOM is being re-shot in Vancouver. James Morrison is to film August 11 through August 23. James plays the part of Colonel Devon and is scheduled to appear in 7 of 12 episode. FREEDOM will premiere in October on UPN.

June: Changes are underway with the show, FREEDOM, in preparation for its airing on UPN this fall. It now looks like the pilot will be re-shot and made into a 2 hour production instead of one hour.
May: Work is underway for a production of James Morrison's play, FALSE BRAVADO. The play will be performed at the Lex Theatre in Los Angeles beginning sometime in July.
May: FREEDOM: in which James Morrison will be featured as the evil Colonel Devon, is scheduled to air Friday nights on UPN this fall. Provided by Kate Duncan
April 5: James Morrison just received a role in a new TV pilot titled, FREEDOM. It is a recurring role if the show goes to series. Morrison says the role is futuristic, and has heart more so than most. He plays the bad guy, a Colonel Timothy Devon. Filming begins mid April in Vancouver.
March 24-26: Morrison attended Neutral Zone 2000 in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England. The convention was held at Forté Posthouse. While in the UK Morrison lectured on film and television at Bournemouth University
March 11: There was a reading of Morrison's short play, A REASON FOR FEATHERS, at the Ensemble Studio Theatre's Winterfest 2000 in Los Angeles. The reading stars were Riad Galayini and Kelly Wolf. James Morrison was directing.
February: James Morrison has been cast in a guest role on the new TV series THE OTHERS. It begins filming around February 8. Morrison will once again be working with producers/writers, Glen Morgan and Jim Wong.
January: James Morrison began filming a guest role on X-Files. He plays a character whose family is terrorized by a bad guy. The episode is titled "THEEF and is scheduled to air March 12th."
The film "ABILENE" that Morrison filmed in April of '98, has been picked up by a theatrical distributor. Expect a release date in May.
Morrison is currently working as First Assistant Director on STILL LIFE, a short film written and directed by Pat Hummel.
Morrison is also working on producing a play titled COYOTE ON A FENCE, by Bruce Graham. The project will likely start in the spring.
BEING FRANK, a play written by James Morrison, is in the planning stages for producing a reading.
