Among those in attendance were: the Editors Choice Award for
Lifetime Achievement winner Leonard Nimoy and his family; the Gene L. Coon Award for
Excellence in Science Fiction Writing winner Michael Pillar; hosts Bruce Boxleitner and
Nana Visitor; other DEEP SPACE NINE cast members Armin Shimmerman, Terry Farrell,
Alexander Siddig, Max Grodenchik and Aaron Eisenberg. BABYLON 5 producer John Copeland and
cast members Claudia Christian, Mira Furlan, Jeff Conway, Richard Biggs and Peter Jurasik;
as well as CONGOs Ernie Hudson; the entire cast of SPACE: ABOVE AND BEYOND including
executive producers Glen Morgan and James Wong; X-FILES producer Howard Gordon and Mr. X
himself, Steve Williams, and many, many other respected members of the science fiction
community. 
Glen Morgan and James Wong took home "Best Writing in a Genre TV Series" for
"Die Hand, Die Verlezt" for THE X-FILES. Rodney Rowland and Kristen Cloke
presented awards. 
"It was an incredible evening," enthused SFU Editor-in-Chief Mark A. Altman.
"To see so many of the genres best and brightest turn out for this event was a
true thrill, and it was very gratifying to see so many of the industrys top talents
recognized."
